Subject: Request for Assistance Regarding Employment Grievance and Deceptive Practices

Dear Madam,

I am writing to bring to your attention the difficult situation I am currently facing with my employer, following the intervention of the Indian Embassy on 17th June 2025.

After the Embassy’s involvement, the company attempted to deceive me by presenting fake documents. I responded to them via email, and I also kept you in blind copy (bcc) for your reference.

In the attached documents, the company falsely claims that I received and acknowledged certain papers, which I never did. These documents are fabricated. Furthermore, the employment contract they submitted to the Ministry of Manpower is fake—I did not sign that contract. Several important clauses from the original Ministry contract are missing from this version.

The company is also accusing me of providing false information, which is completely untrue. All the information I provided is accurate to the best of my knowledge, and I have supporting evidence to prove my claims.

Madam, I am in a very desperate situation:

The company opened a bank account in my name but has never deposited any salary. I have been surviving solely with the help of friends.

I suffered a severe hand burn during my employment and informed the company, but they took no action.

On one occasion, while I was on duty, the construction manager, Mr. Gopa Kumar, deliberately withheld the car keys and prevented the driver from taking me back to my accommodation. When I questioned him, he even attempted to assault me in front of others. I reported this to the owner, who asked me to be patient, assuring me that once the handover was complete, things would improve. Sadly, no changes were made.

This same manager, Mr. Gopa Kumar, falsely signed a letter on my behalf, claiming that I acknowledged it. I was never given any such letter.
Even in that letter ,it's not my name.

I made several attempts to contact the owner through various means, but he completely ignored me.

Madam, I humbly request your kind support and intervention. I believe strongly in the protection and assistance provided by our Embassy.

Additionally, I have filed a formal complaint with the Ministry of Labour this morning.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

Kind regards,
Sreenath Sukumaran

Dear Your Excellency,

This is a gentle reminder regarding my letter dated 13th June 2025 concerning two Indian nationals from Kerala — Mr. Vaisakh Omana Amma Vijayakumar and Mr. Sanal Kumar Manoharan — who are stranded in Oman under Modern Peace Projects, facing withheld passports, lack of pay, and denial of repatriation unless they pay 400 Omani Rial each.

Their situation remains unresolved despite repeated efforts, and I urge the Embassy to kindly intervene to:

Recover their passports,

Facilitate their return to Kerala,

I request your urgent attention to this matter and would appreciate an update at the earliest.

This is to inform that Ms. Uma Moddu visited the Embassy. She is absconder and visa expired in 2021. She has been working illegally all these years. She has already registered with the ongoing Amnesty Program through the Ministry’s official website Reference Number: 202505200060, which allows eligible individuals to return to India without paying penalties.

As per current Amnesty 2025: Oman implemented an amnesty program for migrant workers, granting them a chance to rectify their residency status or transfer to new employers without paying fines for expired visas or overstaying.
Eligibility: The amnesty primarily targeted foreign nationals with expired visas or those who had overstayed their permits.
Waiver: The program waived fines associated with expired visas or overstaying.

Now, agent refused to return the recruitment expenses to Ms. Maha hence, she is demanding the recruitment expenses OMR 800/- from Ms. Papa to release and repatriate her. Ms. Maha also informed she would be filing case against the agent with Ministry of Manpower.
On 19 June 2025, an official from the Embassy spoke with the sponsor, who is currently in Salalah. The sponsor informed that he will visit the Embassy next week to discuss the case.

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your response and the update regarding Mr. Sajith NS.

We would like to inform you that it has been over six months since this issue began, and we are unsure why there is still such a delay in resolving the case. Unfortunately, we do not have much knowledge of the local laws and procedures in Oman, and Mr. Sajith has only been able to inform his family that the case is still being extended by the authorities. Beyond this, we do not have any further clarity on the matter.

His family, including his elderly parents and three small children, are currently facing a very difficult situation as Mr. Sajith was the sole breadwinner of the household. The ongoing uncertainty is causing significant distress for them.

We humbly request the Embassy to kindly consider doing a follow-up with the concerned local authorities. Your support and guidance are the only hope we have at this point. Please advise us on any further steps we can take from our side to assist in resolving this issue.

Thank you once again for your time and support.

Respected Sir/Madam,

I am writing this email with deep concern regarding the disappearance of my brother, Sajith NS, who has been working as a bar man at Maabela Army Camp in Muscat. He, along with his three colleagues (Rejeesh, Ashraf, and Gopu), has been missing for the past one month, and we have had no communication from them. Their mobile numbers remain unreachable.

During his last call, my brother informed us about a fire incident in their camp and mentioned that they were under investigation due to it being an army camp. Since that call, we have received no updates regarding their whereabouts. Despite our repeated attempts to gather information, we have been unable to reach him or his colleagues.

His wife and newborn baby, who were staying in outside accommodation, have now been relocated to Kerala due to safety concerns. However, we are in urgent need of assistance as there is no information about my brother or his colleagues for an extended period.

For your reference, I have attached the Oman ID and passport details of my brother, Sajith NS. We sincerely request the Indian Embassy’s immediate intervention to investigate their missing status and provide us with any official updates.

This is a matter of urgent humanitarian concern, as four Indian citizens are unaccounted for in Muscat. We kindly request the embassy to prioritize this complaint and coordinate with the relevant Omani authorities for their whereabouts and well-being.

We are helpless in Oman as we do not have any local contacts for assistance. Your immediate action and guidance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Awaiting your prompt response.

Respected Sirs/ Madam,

Greetings!!!

I was working in a company called Alpha Group in Salalah, and I have resigned from my job and my employer asked me to sign a letter stating that I have no dues pending and received in full, however I refused and brought this matter to Labour and further from there it was directed to Sessions and finally to Appeal to court, in the verdict I have received to get my dues.

My Law firm in Salalah opened the execution file, however my sponsor has put a stay, my employer has also opened a case against me which is totally illegal for the following reason.

1. Since it's on the stay on the execution and they have taken stay connecting Accomodation case along with employment case, I believe we should add the following points
2. As per my employment contract, am staying in the company provided Accomodation where the sponsors for both the places are same.
3. The original rent per month is just RO. 130/- and how the increment can take place without the mutual consent and agreement.
4. There is an email from Alpha Group for vacating and rent increment for which I have clearly mentioned that I will go out provided they settle my pending salaries and dues, since am still on their valid visa till 06/07/2025 along with my family and my 3 kids studying in Indian School Salalah, how can I go out without proper exiting procedure and without claiming my dues.

I think my employer is acting too smart to consolidate the matter by attaching this illegal case by using his resources, so that he can put me in trouble and avoid paying my legal dues.

Sirs me, my wife and 3 kids are with me and from last more than 20 months am trying to stay here with much pain bringing in money from India for our survival, as I don't wanted to disturb the studies of my kids as they all are in higher class 12, 11 and 10.

Sir it's a humble request to support me in this genuine matter.

As we told that she is in the shelter, sponsor said he will discuss the matter with the agent and revert to us in two days.

I had reported an issue to the Embassy a few days ago regarding my situation with my sponsor. Following this, the agency contacted me and assured that they would arrange a settlement and provide me with a suitable job.

Today, they informed me that someone from the Embassy had called the sponsor regarding my complaint. As a result, the agency is now requesting me to revoke the case in order to proceed with the settlement. They have assured me again that they will resolve the issue once the complaint is withdrawn.

I am not familiar with the legal procedures and formalities in Oman, and I am concerned about my rights and the proper course of action. Therefore, I kindly request your guidance and assistance in this matter. If it is possible, I would like to revoke the complaint temporarily and proceed with the settlement. However, I would also like to request that my case be reopened or further action be taken if they fail to fulfill their commitments.

I sincerely seek your support and advice on how to proceed in a way that protects my rights and ensures a fair resolution.

Thank you very much for your time and assistance.

[16:51, 21/06/2025] +91 97475 58750: Sir, I would like to inform you that I have also spent approximately ?80,000 INR for the visa process in India.

Unfortunately, the agents who handled my case misled me regarding the job, salary, and overall working conditions. I have proof of their false promises, including voice notes that clearly show how they misrepresented everything.

Please note, I am not blaming the sponsor — he has been honest and transparent. He even showed me the chat with the Omani agent, where all job details and shop information were properly shared. I truly believe he acted in good faith.

However, the agents in India and in oman have cheated both me and the sponsor. Given this situation, I sincerely request you to consider taking action against these agents. It’s very disheartening to face such a situation after putting in so much effort and money.

Thank you for understanding.

Dear Sir i am a proud citizen of India and had been working in Oman for the last 31 years in one company after working hard and giving my life and youth to this company i am not been paid my salary regularly and i have past accumulations of around 25000 + OMR due to me when ever i ask for the money they say they dont have but they continue to run the company its disgusting coz my child is in University and this is my only saving i have over the last 31 years and if i dont get it now my childs future will be affected

I would really apppreciate if as representatives of the wonderful and most beautiful country Oman can take up the matter with the my employers and ask them to pay my dues ,they have sent away many Indian citizens without paying any of their dues and all left coz they had no trust and did not have time nobody stood for their rights but i am a heart patient with more than 90% blockages and they are not providing me with any medical insurance for the last 3 years saying they cannot afford to and my question is if they cannot afford to pay salaries and benefits for the staff why are they running the company why is it still running

I have supported them when they wanted the most since 2018 whether they paid or not but now its impossible for me my child is in university and aspiring to become a Doctor but these people are not understanding my situation so please i beg you sir i need the Embassy's support and the Ministry of external affairs support in this matter i have been mentally tortured i cannot walk now my knees have grinded my health issues becoz of them have only increased when my father passed away in 2018 they did not even provide me a ticket or salary to attend his funeral its the worst kind of situation somebody with 31 years of dedication and loyalty can go through

I want the ministry of external affairs through. your honorable embassy and HE the ambassador to do something in this regards its not only me but many others who have suffered i have seen with my own eyes and i cannot stand this injustice to our citizens

Please let me know how you can help me so this can come to an end for me i am not interested to work with them and i want my entire amount to be paid in full

Thanks and regards
Syed Usman

We have received following query from your side.
Good day!

I have submitted my passport application (Re-Issue Passport Issuance under Normal Scheme) submitted with File Number OM0075557692925 to the Indian Embassy - Muscat station (BLS office) on 07MAY2025.

Since no police verification was done, my sister in Mumbai visited the police station (MHB Colony in Borivali, Mumbai) on 24 May 2025 and was informed that the Police will visit the residence.

However, till date there has been no police verification done.
As a result, I have still not received my passport.

Previously, passports in Oman were renewed within 10 days of application so now it is quite inconvenient to be without the passport for so long.

I earnestly request you to please look into the matter so that I can receive the renewed passport as soon as possible.
Awaiting your kind response at the earliest.
Thank you in advance.
