1. On January 1, 2026, the applicant husband's father-in-law and brother-in-law arrived at his home in Muscat without prior notice. They confiscated his mobile, demanded his daughter’s passport, and pressured him to sign blank cheques. When the user attempted to leave and report the incident to the police, they locked him in a room, which he managed to escape by shouting for help. The caretaker, Zahir, assisted in getting them to open the door. The user, with support from his Head of Department (HOD), filed a police report against his wife, her father, and brother for criminal behavior. Later, the police intervened, and the relatives were forced to leave the apartment. The user suspects his wife is illegally working and plans to take their daughter without his consent. He is in the process of obtaining an official incident report from the police.

Ms.Hungphun Awungshi approached Embassy on 05.01.2026 morning seeking Embassy's intervention for her travel to India. She reportedly came to Oman on tourist visa for getting visa to Europe. She has submitted passport and other documents to the person promised (Bangladeshi) for Europe visa. However, she did not get her passport, documents and her mobile from him. As she was not having her mobile she could not contact her family in India. Later, one Indian provided her with a small phone for communication. She contacted her family who advised her to approach Embassy.
