| Family has informed that agent Mr. Hasheem has been making false commitments and is refusing to share any information regarding the applicant with his wife, Mrs. Jaheda Begum. Initially, the agent demanded an amount of 500 Omani Riyals, stating that the applicant would be released thereafter. However, he is now asking for INR 60,000, claiming that he will arrange a 2-year visa so that the applicant can stay and work in Oman. The family has requested the Embassy’s intervention to verify the facts of the matter and to provide further assistance. An NV is to be sent to MOFA to ascertain the whereabouts of the applicant. |
