Applicant is currently admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Oman due to a serious medical condition.The Embassy has taken cognizance of the matter and has contacted the owner of his company by telephone. It was informed that applicant arrived in Oman in July 2022 and has been working with Al Himah and Al Ibdaa Trading Co. as an accountant. The owner of the company, Mr. Magi, stated that Mr. Aijaz joined the company about four years ago and has always been a healthy and well-behaved employee. Around ten days ago, he reportedly started suffering from severe headaches and was taken to Aster Hospital for treatment. However, his condition did not improve and gradually worsened. Subsequently, on 2 March, he was taken to Sultan Qaboos Hospital for further medical care. The Honorary Consular Agent of the Embassy in Salalah, Mr. Sanathanan, visited the hospital and met with the attending doctor. He reported that applicant’s condition is very critical and that he is currently not fit to undertake travel to India. Mr. Sanathanan is regularly visiting the hospital to keep the Embassy updated onapplicant’s condition. The Embassy is also in touch with the owner of the company. Applicant’s repatriation can only be considered once his health stabilizes and competent doctors certify that he is fit to travel. 
Employer requested to meet in person. Informed to meet anytime during working hours from Sunday to Thursday 7am to 3.30pm. The same has been conveyed to the applicant.

An email was sent to DoF on 13.03.2026 after 1st virtual meeting of PNC was chaired by AS(DoF) on 11.03.2026. During the meeting, the Mission was requested to seek clarifications on some of the aspects of the OQT's offer. Therefore, Mission requested DoF to share a self-contained proposal so that the clarifications can be obtained from OQT through a meeting.
