This is to inform you that the vessel MV MKD VYOM was reportedly struck by a missile. Regrettably, one Indian national, Mr. Amritlal Solanki, lost his life in the incident.
The Embassy contacted Mr. Ranga Rao V. Chimbili, Assistant Fleet Manager, International Tanker Management Ltd., who confirmed the demise of Mr. Amritlal Solanki. He further informed that all other crew members have been safely transferred to MT Sand vessel, which was drifting off the coast of Oman.
