This has reference to trailing mail from Mrs. Rekha Dileesh regarding the case of her husband Mr. Dileesh Vasupillai, holder of Indian Passport no: V4269726, presently detained at Sumail Central prison, in a financial case. Mrs. Rekha Dileesh visited Embassy on 19.11.2025 requesting help to bail out her husband.
The Embassy provided them a list of panel lawyers but the family informed that the case is being pursued through their own lawyer. However, they refused share the details of their lawyer. The Embassy is in direct contact with the family to provide all possible assistance.

Attempts to contact her were unsuccessful, so her husband was informed through WhatsApp. On 29.11.2025, the Embassy spoke to Ms. Latha, who confirmed she will visit the Embassy for collecting her EC on 30.11.2025 and planned to book her flight on Sunday night. She also reported that the Omani family she was staying with had stopped her from leaving and wanted to process a work visa, which she refused. They have now agreed to drop her at the Embassy on Sunday(30.11.2025). |
