Applicant informed the matter has been settled with his sponsor amicably. He is currently working with the sponsor and after completion of employment contract he will travel back to India. Settled.

Informed employer on the grievance received from M/s KPM enterprises regarding 43 Indian workers on their non payment of salary dues and not providing designated job. Hence, requested to look into the matter and do the needful. 
Mr. Aneesh Neelakandan reported to the Embassy that his sponsor withheld four months’ salary and demanded money to release his passport, prompting him to leave the company. He is currently not pursuing legal action and plans to work temporarily to arrange funds before approaching the Ministry of Labour.
A WhatsApp message was sent to the company, citing Article 6 of Oman’s Labour Law, which prohibits retention of passports without written consent, and Article 117 of Royal Decree No. 53/2023, which mandates timely salary payment. The company has been requested to take appropriate action.

Informed the applicant that if he is not satisfied with the employer response, if required, he may proceed through legal channels and may lodge a complaint with the Ministry of Labour, Oman. 
- Embassy established contact with Mr. Arjun (employer), he informed the dues will be checked with accounts department and be rectified along with his repatriation process. Mr. Arjun requested the applicant to meet him for resolving the matter.

Regarding renewal of passport of her son, the passport is being printed in India. The passport may be received in the embassy in 4-5 working days. Informed the applicant about the status.  
The Embassy has followed up with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Oman, regarding Mr. Sakkariya Kampath . As per the response received, he is involved in Case No. (00643) - 2507 - Inspection Team in Al Dhahirah, on charges of violating the Labor Law. He is still being detained at the Detention Department at the Al Dhahirah Governorate Police Command.
